I was working on some articles recently about travel, and came across a blog about people with itchy feet. Of course, that blog was about those of us with an incurable wanderlust, always looking for a way to take a trip somewhere fun and fascinating. But it made me think about how annoying it is when my feet start to (literally) itch.

When it happens to me, I just double up my use of Heel Vitality! It’s no hardship to apply the soothing balm twice as many times each day, and the healing properties of the eucalyptus oil sure does help!

Eucalyptus Oil is probably the most powerful antiseptic of its class. Eucalyptus oil has very powerful germicidal and disinfectant properties, along with some antiseptic attributes. The eucalyptus is native to Australia, but now cultivated around the world. The oil of the leaf, which is extracted by steam distillation, has a long history of medicinal use, along with an antiseptic, flavoring, fragrance and even insect repellent.

At Heel Vitality, we use eucalyptus oil for its anti-inflammatory (relieves swelling) and analgesic (pain relief) qualities. As we use just a small amount of the essential oil in our balm, it also adds just a touch of something special to the scent of Heel Vitality. Just remember to take it with you when you get those gotta-travel itchy feet!
